This work-from-home role will have the successful candidate report to the VP, Finance & Strategy, with a dotted line to the Controller. This hybrid FP&A and accounting role will be integral in performing the following tasks:
Business analysis and financial impact estimation for different areas including new partnership evaluation and assessment
Oversee and manage the Company’s long term financial forecast and budget model
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and budget presentation
Forecast short-term cash flow and operational KPIs
Support the Controller and the accounting team in performing various analyses and reconciliations to assist in period-end closing process
Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Modeling / Forecasting & Budgeting
Financial forecasting for the overall organization
Work closely with high level stakeholders across the organization to keep forecast model up-to-date
Enhance and maintain complex financial models to support Spring’s strategic business decisions
Develop and maintain cash position reports to keep senior management abreast of liquidity position
Perform analysis of financial results against budgets and forecasts
Accounting / Reporting
Provide support to the accounting team with their month-end closing process as well as the payroll team in the semi-monthly payroll cycle
Collect and analyze financial information to provide consolidated reporting
Participate in a range of projects across the Finance & Accounting business unit
Assist in other ad hoc projects as required by the department
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting-related analytical role
Degree, diploma, or certificate in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field
Designated CFA/CPA or actively working towards a designation
Strong financial modeling, data analytics and variance reporting skills
Adept experience translating the impact of analysis to the business needs
Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent team player
