Vancouver, BC – Contract Position
Lifemark Physiotherapy Keefer Place is currently seeking an experienced Physician to join our Pain and Medication Management Team. Our well established interdisciplinary team consists of dedicated Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Kinesiologists, and a Pharmacist. With Lifemark Health you will:
Be an active participant in directly contributing to our Pain and Medication Management team of experienced professionals
Collaborate closely with a strong interdisciplinary team
Assess clients with persistent pain and associated concerns and determine the ideal direction for rehabilitation and further consultation
Utilize evidence based practice based on a biopsychosocial model of care
Formulate comprehensive, evidence-based, patient-centered therapeutic plans for clients and work closely with our Pharmacotherapeutic Consultant to implement these
Communicate with referral sources and external medical professionals as required
Engage in continuous learning and skills development
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine, licensed to practice in British Columbia
In good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
Two years of experience working with clients with complex pain issues is an asset (or an interest in this area of practice!)
Experience in the management of complex medication regimens and tapers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working with WorkSafeBC clients is an asset
Current personal liability & malpractice insurance
