Alacrity Canada is looking for an ambitious Computer Science or Software Engineering student who wants to work with our organization to help us build upon and strengthen our data storage and tracking systems. This role is a full-time internship, which will require 40 hours per week.
Office Location:
Victoria/Vancouver, BC
We are a remote-friendly workplace – you do not have to work in the office every day. However, this role will have responsibilities that regularly require a physical presence in our office.

Desired Experience/Qualifications:
Knowledge (through coursework) of Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, Networking and Security, TCP/IP, Socket Programming, Linux, BSD Operating Systems.
Proficiency in C or C++.
Experience with Data Analysis, Cloud Systems and Infrastructure.
Expectations:
The student must remain enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program for the duration of the internship.
The student must meet with members of the Alacrity Canada team on a weekly basis (meetings can happen virtually).
The student will clearly and proactively communicate their chosen systems and resources with the Alacrity Canada team.
The student will undertake research and develop a comprehensive software deployment plan
The student will remain engaged during their internship and monitor the needs of the organization and engage accordingly.
The student uses their knowledge of computer architecture and has a curious attitude towards computing from a systems perspective.
Additional Details:
Compensation will be agreed upon after the interview process has been completed.
