What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate delivery/pick up using information from system software.
Stay in contact with drivers to monitor progress throughout the day; keep log of delivery/pick-up times.
Manage 3rd party transportation companies.
Advise/inform management on utilization of drivers and difficulties with deliveries or pickups.
Call clients to advise of delivery/pick-up changes.
Provide driver with any specific delivery/pick-up instructions requested by the customer.
Coordinate with counter personnel on priorities.
Analyze customer needs and requirements, and present customers with equipment rental solutions.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma in logistic is an asset.
Must have knowledge of lower mainland area for dispatch.
Experience as a Driver and/or as a Dispatcher is an asset.
Knowledge of the rental/construction equipment industry is an asset.
Knowledge of regulations about vehicles, load weight limit, safety, etc;
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Able to communicate at all levels of the organization.
Very good inter-personal skills and detail oriented.
