Helix Contracting Looking for Construction Supervisor at Barrie, ON Full Time

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Component layout, drawing interpretation and foresight to communicate potential issues and questions requiring client input
• Building code interpretation and compliance
• Municipality representation for site inspections
• Meet with clients in parallel with Project Managers to discuss upcoming items
• Maintaining scheduling as set by Project Manager
• Scheduling sub-trades
• Site direction to all related sub trades and Helix Contracting employees
• Site presentation and cleanliness
• Site safety compliance
• Project close-out: Ensure sites are prepared for final inspections, deficiencies addressed, warranty work and site demobilization
• Physical carpentry labour to complement onsite workers atfer all required on site report has been provided
• Field administration: Monitor timesheet submissions, onboard new field employees, manage labour quantities, incident reporting, communicate effectively with all General Superintendents and Project Managers

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• In-depth knowledge and experience in construction industry and company operations including building materials, construction specifications, methods, and procedures
• Strong understanding of project scope and ability to apply basic engineering principles and embed solutions in construction plans and schedules
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

QUALIFICATIONS

• Journeyman cerficate and/or post secondary diploma in a related discipline is an asset
• 5+ years of supervision experience in commercial or high-end residential construction
• Must have valid driver’s license and be willing to travel as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
