What you will get to do:
Responsible for monitoring and improving the performance of each employee (performs planned job observations). Aids in establishing goals and objectives for this area and escalates any performance issues to the Supervisor.
Tracks, reports, and reviews the Operations training program daily to drive continuous improvement.
Ensures all department shift objectives are achieved through the effective coordination and implementation of the Plant Supervisors’ directions, and ongoing monitoring of the departmental workforce.
Reports any found deviations or safety concerns to the Plant Supervisor and helps initiate preventative/corrective action when and where required.
Policies, Processes & Procedures a. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Your education & experience matters to us:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the meat/poultry industry with excellent knowledge of assigned area tasks and processes.
High School Diploma
Must be trained under HACCP, responsible knowledge of area CPs.
Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc.;
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential
