This position will report directly to the Mine Operations General Foreman, and indirectly to the Mine Operations Superintendent.

This position is located in Allan, Saskatchewan, Canada and is not available for remote work.

What you will do:
Maintain safe working conditions by identifying hazardous conditions and initiating corrective action

Understand and comply with the Company Code of Ethics

Comply with and maintain current knowledge of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Company Policies and Procedures, and Rules and Regulations

Support and promote site Safety Programs

Lead and support investigations for underground safety incidents and production loss incidents

Provide updates to the Mine Planner, Mine Shift Supervisor, and Mine Operations General Foremen

Assigns responsibilities and work assignments for crew following with Mine Schedule and Plan

Make recommendations for improvement

Maintains good interpersonal relations with other departments

Create schedules and provide feedback

Coordinate and provide training to employees

Manage performance of employees on the Service Utility Crew

Administration work for the crew such as: vacation requests, schedule updates, work requests, timecards, JHAs, etc.

Support Mine Operations and maintenance of the mine conditions

What you will bring:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Potash mine, or relevant schooling combined with experience will also be considered

Class A qualification in First Aid

Valid Supervisor’s Certificate issued by the Saskatchewan Chief Mines Inspector

Excellent leadership skills

Effective employee engagement and conflict management skills

Effective communication skills

Regular participation in continuous improvement

Ability to use and adapt to the use of new technology

Knowledge of standard office software and ability and willingness to learn site specific software

General knowledge of Potash Operations

General knowledge of ore management installation and maintenance

General knowledge of mine infrastructure installation and maintenance
