Through our 6 branches in Western Canada we have been serving the industrial/construction markets for over 55 years.

Job Description

• Serve customers on the telephone, email and in person in our showroom
• Answer questions about products and their applications to find the right solution for the customer
• Key in quotes and orders, pick, pack and label orders
• Manage and maintain a small warehouse to ensure the shelves are full and organized
• Housekeeping in the showroom – fill and clean shelves, sweep, rotate stock
• Process orders at POS – credit card machine, returns, etc
• Work with outside sales reps to ensure orders are filled quickly and accurately
• Collaborate with purchasing team, warehouse team and front office

Key Skills

• Customer service oriented
• Must be able to sell, not just take orders
• Product knowledge – building materials (other than lumber – i.e. steel and concrete, commercial electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc), power tools & accessories, fasteners, safety products
• Computer literate
• Problem solving, decision making and continuous learning
• Very organized and able to work in a fast paced team environment
• Excellent communication skills – writing, telephone, effective listening
• ACCURACY and attention to detail are a must
• Numeracy and ability to work with fractions

This is a multi-faceted position requiring an adaptable person with hustle and a sense of urgency. The job includes some office work, order desk (customer facing), telephone, and warehouse.

HEAVY LIFTING IS INVOLVED – ability to lift 50 pounds is required

CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Salary: $36,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Winnipeg, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• sales: 2 years (preferred)
• construction: 2 years (preferred)
