Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Ambulatory Clinic Clerk to join the teams at West Vancouver Community Health Centre in West Vancouver, BC. Apply today to join our team!

As a Ambulatory Clinic Clerk with VCH you will:
Provide scheduling/booking, clerical and reception functions for the Home & Community Intake Program and Ambulatory Clinic.

Perform duties including the use of word processing and spreadsheet software in the establishment and maintenance of confidential files, correspondence and records in accordance with community intake and clinic guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience

Grade 12, Certificate in Office Administration plus one year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge & Abilities

Ability to keystroke 5,000 keystrokes per hour.

Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

Ability to organize workload and prioritize.

Ability to problem-solve and take initiative.

Ability to work under the pressure of interruptions and adapt to changes.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Ability to operate related equipment.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.

As per the current Public Health Orders (Long Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Officer Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees working for Vancouver Coastal Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
