Job Description
We are an established and growing stair manufacturing company located in Pickering, Ontario. We offer our employees the opportunity to learn and grow, working in a fast paced team environment.
1st Step Stairs Limited is committed to providing the highest quality custom designed and crafted product to our established customer base as well as our expanding clientele of Custom Home Builders.
We are looking for a Woodworker who is willing to learn and progress to a Stair Builder in this specialized trade. Compensation commensurate with experience.
Requirements:
- Must be reliable and able to work in a time sensitive manner
- Carpentry/wood shop experience required
- Familiar with wood shop machinery and tools required
- Minimum of one year carpentry experience
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with day to day tasks including shop duties
- Perform general duties
- Shop Maintenance
- Prepare parts for production
- Assist team with production and learn how to build stairs
- Sand and finish product for delivery
- Assist in stair installation
- Other tasks as required
Candidates must be interested in learning all aspects of stair building and progressing to the next level.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $14.00-$26.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
