Our downtown Toronto based client is seeking a Senior SAP BASIS Consultant for 3 year contract position starting ASAP. This is a hybrid role with 2 days onsite downtown.
The client is running a major program to implement SAP by modernizing legacy business processes. With a focus on business process transformation, the TTC will replace all major back-office business processes with new processes based on industry-leading practices utilizing various SAP cloud products and SAP S/4HANA.
This role will focus on Sr SAP System Administration services to provide leadership in planning, architecture and developing and implementing SAP solutions to support multi-product integrated landscapes. Solution components include SuccessFactors, S/4HANA, BusinessSuite and other leading SAP products, including integration to non-SAP TTC systems.
The role also will include day-to-day landscape project support with multiple project teams.
This resource will be required to work onsite 2 days and 3 days remotely.
Skills and Certifications
• 20+ years of SAP experience designing SAP systems to be supported by an SAP System Administration team
• SAP OS/DB (Basis) certification is required.
• Expert knowledge of, and the ability to install, typical application server instances including distributed installations.
• Experience with and knowledge of SAP Business Suite on HANA and S/4HANA 1809 or higher.
• Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in application lifecycle management using SAP Solution Manager
• Expert knowledge of configuring and setting up (including upgrades/maintenance planner) Dell Boomi integration from SuccessFactors to SAP Business Suite on-premise systems
• Expert knowledge of SAP CPI
• Experience integrating Biztalk middleware to SAP
• Translating business requirements into the SAP technical solution
• Hands-on knowledge of managing HANA-based systems and administration
• Experience in working in a public sector environment is an asset.
Assignment Duties
• The Senior SAP System Admin Consultant will be responsible for a number of areas on the project:
• Responsible for the day-to-day management of the entire SAP project landscape including S/4HANA, BusinessSuite on HANA, integration between S/4HANA and Suite on HANA (through ALE), integration between SAP SuccessFactors and Suite on HANA. This responsibility includes ensuring that the applications and supporting interfaces are current.
• Management of the Change Management processes to promote project changes across multiple environments (development, testing, training, regression, production)
• Responsible for providing development support in the areas of BASIS, ABAP, web services, interfaces and integration, data migration, Biztalk integration, Dell Boomi
• Assist in the preparation of implementation, cutover and system support plans
• Participate in Enterprise Architecture Roadmap planning and execution related to the SAP environment (hardware, operating systems, application software)
• Management and status reporting including schedule development for releases and upgrades, tracking progress against schedule, issues, and risks related to the project landscapes
• Coaching and providing knowledge transfer to TTC team members who are involved in this specific area of work following TTC policies, processes, and procedures
Deliverables
• Key deliverables for this position are as follows:
• SAP System Architecture for SAP Cloud, On-Premise and non-SAP integrated systems
• Setup, installation and configuration of the SAP project landscape or N environments
• SAP Change Management for the Integrated Landscape
• Daily Monitoring, management and troubleshooting of system-related issues and upgrades as required
• Cutover Plan review and recommendations to project teams
• Refresh SAP Landscape as needed by the Project Team
• Reporting of SAP Incidents through the Online SAP Support Portal
