Our client, a leading accounting firm in Eastern Ontario, is looking to add a Senior Bookkeeper to their team in Belleville, ON. Reporting to the Partners of the firm, the Senior Bookkeeper will be responsible for undertaking a diverse range of bookkeeping tasks for our clientele, comprising of small to medium-sized enterprises spanning various sectors.

Qualifications
- College Diploma/University degree with an Accounting focus
- 3 years full cycle bookkeeping experience, in public or legal accounting
- Must have working knowledge of Sage 50 and Quickbooks (online and desktop)
- Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Professional and reliable
- Superb organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and with a diverse client group
- Ability to work with confidential information
- Ability to work overtime to meet client demand as well as during high volume tax season
Job Requirements
- Daily and monthly recordings of business transactions for preparation of accounting reports
- Provide a variety of bookkeeping duties for a variety of small to medium sized business companies
- Transaction services and preparation of client internal financial statements
- Payroll
- Preparation of T4 and T5 slips
- Accounting software support and training
