404 Refrigeration & HVAC Services is a refrigeration and HVAC maintenance service provider that specializes in service, maintenance, and repair services for businesses and residences throughout Southern Alberta. We work on all commercial refrigeration and freezer systems, ice making machines, walk in fridges and freezers, reach in fridges and freezers, commercial air handling units, rooftop furnace and air conditioning systems, kitchen exhaust fans, and residential furnace and air conditioning units. Our services are available 24/7 for emergency no heat / no cool situations. We also provide sales and installation of new equipment, and prioritize honest and reliable service.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Technical Apprentice role located in Vulcan County, AB. The Technical Apprentice will assist the team in conducting preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC, refrigeration, and ventilation systems for residential and commercial properties. Other day-to-day tasks will include reading schematics, wiring diagrams, piping diagrams as well as servicing and testing components of HVAC, refrigeration, and ventilation systems.
Qualifications
- Keen interest in technical problem solving and a desire to learn
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics
- Knowledge of basic electrical principles and how they apply to HVACR systems
- Ability to use hand and power tools, work with refrigerants, and be comfortable with heights and confined spaces
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work independently as well as in a team environment
- Completion of an accredited HVAC program or apprenticeship is a plus
- Experience in the HVACR industry or related field is a plus
