Position Summary:
The Finance Intern will ensure accurate and timely processing of entries through the accounting system, assist the Associate Director, Finance and other members of the finance team in preparation of reports, administrative support, and respond to requests for information from other departments and external auditors.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is driven to achieve results, while maintaining clear lines of communication with management and can adopt a flexible approach in a dynamic and agile environment. This position requires discipline, positive attitude, and a desire to grow professionally.

This is a full-time or part-time paid internship position which requires strong organizational, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.

This is a remote position, however there may be some opportunities to work onsite depending on projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and posting of receipts, deposits, purchase orders, invoices, refunds, and other standard bookkeeping tasks
• Participate in payable and receivable modules within internal accounting system
• Prepare reports and maintaining appropriate filing systems
• Process invoices, including matching, batching, and performing data entry
• Create financial and inventory reports
• Identify and correct miscalculations and financial discrepancies

Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of financial processes
• Intermediate hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel
• Time management and project prioritization skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Experience working within creative service environment is considered an asset

Education:
Graduate education or currently enrolled in a recognized Finance, Accounting, Bookkeeping or related program with an accredited institution.
