We are a leading natural gas supply management and brokerage company based in Vancouver, BC, providing gas supply delivery services to large energy consumers across Canada and the US. Our clients rely on us to source and deliver over $300 million/year of natural gas to their industrial and large commercial facilities. We operate 3 separate corporations.
Our extensive knowledge and expertise in gas supply origination, trading and scheduling provides our customers with supply security and ensures they are minimizing supply costs on a daily basis. We have built a diversified supply and transport portfolio to move supply from production sources to end user take-offs.
Job Description:
The position is a critical component of our business and provides for potential advancement in the company in the future. The role is part of our scheduling group who manage our daily supply dispatch and transport portfolio. The candidate will work closely with our team, communicating with various gas suppliers, pipelines and utility distribution systems using our cloud- based scheduling and reporting network.
Responsibilities include:
· Coordinate natural gas supply purchase and delivery to meet daily customer demand requirements across an established network of pipeline and utility systems in BC, AB, SK and ON and the US
· Record and report all daily trades and pipeline scheduling activity
· Maintain relationships with customers, upstream suppliers, and pipeline and utility companies
· Review and approve supply and transportation invoices each month and distribute to customers or to internal accounting
· Provide customers with timely reporting of supply trades, pricing, and costs.
Working arrangement and hours:
Natural gas markets operate across North America at the same time periods requiring the candidate to start working at 5.30 AM PST with the scheduling period typically ending around 8:00 AM PST. Once the daily trading and scheduling duties are complete, the candidate will have flexibility to work on reports and other administrative duties during the rest of the workday. All of our staff work remotely from home and frequently meet via video call and attend in person meetings once a week. The candidate should expect a significant amount of training for the first 6 months which we will provide in a structured manner with a wide range of resources available to assist with the transition phase from probation to full-time unsupervised.
