What You Will Be Doing
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items and preparation methods
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Follow thoroughly the sequence of service from the in-room dining department.
- Ensure that overall cleanliness and maintenance of our working areas are maintained at all times.
- Provide timely, personalized, friendly, polite, and efficient food and beverage service to our hotel guests in their guestrooms or any other area of the hotel as directed.
- Uphold the highest internal and external customer service standards by demonstrating Fairmont Service Essentials and Forbes standards and applying 5 Diamond Service at all times.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
- Serving It Right Certificate
Physical aspects of position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
