We are actively looking for a dynamic and motivated foreman.
You will be responsible for the workshop’s operations, managing employees, maintaining equipment, solving problems and making recommendations to improve productivity.
You will be supported by the production director in a friendly and respectful environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
Work upstream with the designers, estimators and project managers to ensure the feasibility of the projects sold to clients
Plan and rule production
Ensure deadlines are met
Ensure the maintenance of equipment in the manufacturing workshop
Solve technical problems and find smart solutions
Identify production issues and propose solutions to optimize the cost
Be up to date with new technics, processes, materials
Plan the power needed to carry out the work assigned
Inform employees of the production department of project details, needs and expected result
Motivate employees to meet deadlines
Implementoccupational health and safety measures and ensure that plant employees apply them
Ensure that staff receive technical assistance as needed, as well as training
Leader and team player with a “can do” positive attitude who will get the job done
Ability to manage multiple production jobs within specific time constraints
Part of the overall production team coordinating woodshop, paint shop, aluminum extrusion department, shop setups, furniture rentals and storage
Continuous improvement mindset
Curious and flexible
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in personal management in a production environment
Knowledge of cabinet making
At ease with computer tools and the MS office suite
Experience in the field of events or in the construction of exhibition stands would be an asset
Knowledge of CADsoftware would be an asset
The ability to read technical drawings is required
