Overview:
Controller
Acquire is looking for a responsible individual with a high attention to detail to take a position as Controller. The Controller role will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for payroll, AR/AP, expenses, working capital management, collaborating with bookkeepers and accountants and some forecasting. There are existing processes and procedures around these practices within the business, as well as existing vendor relationships. We are looking for someone who will diligently operate within this role.
Manage and communicate with the external bookkeeper to prepare and process payroll
Responsible for reviewing tax filings, processing tax payments and managing tax filing deadlines
Ensure accuracy of financial data being reported to management and investors
Manage annual and quarterly budgeting, forecasting, and reporting process
Work with department heads on budgeting and forecasting activities
Manage accounts receivable activities by contacting customers to request payment of overdue accounts
Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements
Develop objectives and key results for the finance department
Monitor business performance metrics and KPIs
Responsible for reviewing and processing expense reimbursements
Manage vendor payments
Work with the Founder on strategic initiatives and ad-hoc projects
Analyze market trends and competitors and provide key insights to management
Assist in the budgeting and coordination of company events and corporate gifting initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Self motivating individual who requires little supervision
Required advanced MS Excel skills
Intermediate MS PowerPoint
Strong analytical and data gathering skills
Strong business acumen
