ACT Learning Centre is a leading edge, dynamic, multidisciplinary practice in Ottawa. We are a multi disciplinary team of speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, social workers, board certified behaviour analysts, communicative disorders assistants, occupational therapy assistants, and registered behaviour therapists providing exceptional services to children and youth with autism, developmental disorders and delays and their families.

ACT Learning Centre is one of two lead providers in Eastern Ontario for the Entry to School program a school readiness program for young children with autism spectrum disorder that is funded by MCCSS under the Ontario Autism Program.

The Opportunity

We are presently seeking a full time BCBA to join our team in delivering this new and innovative program in Ottawa and to provide services in our pediatric private practice.

Summary of Responsibilities:

· Provide expertise in the development and implementation of behaviour intervention plans and teaching programs for children and youth with autism and other developmental disabilities.

· Administer curriculum based, preference, functional and other ABA assessments and analyses as needed.

· Summarize and interpret ABA and/or IBI session data.

· Complete and maintain clinical records according to BACB professional compliance code

· Complete client progress notes.

· Work collaboratively with parents to provide coaching and meetings providing updates on treatment goals and strategies.

· Conduct supervision and team meetings for Instructor Therapists as needed.

· Train therapists on the implementation of teaching programs and behaviour intervention plans.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Applied Disability Studies, Psychology or related field.

• BCBA Certification
• Managerial/Supervisory Experience is required.
• Experience writing behavior programs is required.
• Experience conducting comprehensive assessments (i.e.: ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP)

· Exceptional communication skills both oral and written.

• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

· A successful Vulnerable Sector screen.

· The ability to provide service in both English and French is an asset.
