Actalent Looking for Design Lifecycle Specialist at London, Ontario, Canada Full Time

• Description:* Complete component level design tasks while keeping supervisor regularly inform on progress and issues encountered. Ensure all designs are peer reviewed by technical lead or assigned mentor. Areas of focus: Stowage, Covers, Guards and Access Panels (CGAP), AFES, NBC, Windshield and Washing Systems, Seats, Workstations, and unique interior mission equipment. Support test planning, execution, and reporting as assigned and under supervision of test lead. Provide status to supervisor on progress of tasks. Share insights and ideas for improvement with supervisor. Support improvement initiatives as requested. Identify opportunities for self-development. Raise ideas to supervisor attention. Support quality and RCCA related activities as requested. *Skills:* design, designing engineering, systems engineering, bom, bill of material, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Manufacturing, aerospace engineering *Additional Skills & Qualifications:* University degree or College Diploma in relevant engineering discipline. 3 to 5 years relevant engineering experience. Superior oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Project Management experience. Ability to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% US & International) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Requirements for confined space Preferred Experience: Designing in NX Competent in analyzing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Ability to understand and review to GDLS-C drawing standards. Eng. or ability to obtain P. Eng designation
