Actalent Looking for Electromechanical Technologist at Oakville, Ontario, Canada Full Time

• Description:*
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic and thermal testing in support of day-to-day operation of a laboratory for automotive components.
• Support lab team members in developing and building new test equipment.
• Compose laboratory reports, sample collection and compilation of data in support of process and product investigations.
• Deliver for timely/rapid turnaround time for lab requests and provide support for lab equipment maintenance and adherence to H&S and Quality standards.
• Perform metallurgical, mechanical, cleanliness and chemical testing in support of day-today operation of laboratory for automotive component process development and/or new product or process development
• Compose laboratory reports, sample collection and compilation of data in support of process and product investigations
• Deliver timely laboratory support for problem solving, material and process investigations, and product development activities
• Deliver for timely/rapid turnaround time for lab requests, and provide support for lab equipment maintenance and adherence to H&S and Quality standards
• Additional Skills & Qualifications:*
• MUST HAVE:
• Electromechanical, mechanical, or electrical technician/technologist diploma
• MUST HAVE:
• Comfortable and experienced using a variety of hand and power tools
• MUST HAVE:
• 1-2 years of professional experience (minimum co-op), ideally in the automotive field
• Nice to Have:
• Electronics: Circuit Boards, Wiring, Microcontrollers
