Actalent Looking for FPGA Design Engineer at Kanata, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Actalent is hiring a FPGA Design Engineer for our client – A leading technology company working on telecommunications solutions. What You’ll Achieve: If you’re interested in taking part in a once in a career opportunity, We are looking for a 5G FPGA Designer to be part of a brand new, built from the ground up, high powered R&D team. The team will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a technology for addressing the demands of the 5G Radio subsystem for operators exploit this significant market evolution. The candidate for this role will have work experience in wireless development, as well as a strong background in Radio development. You will:

• Design, implement, and test IP blocks
• Work with your team to create new designs and help integrate IP across different platforms
• Collaborate with system architecture team on future designs
• Support Design Verification team
• Contribute to the scripts and CI/CD environments Desirable:
• 5-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Knowledge of UVM/OVM is an asset
