– Primary responsibilities are to service the parts requests of the service technicians. It requires interpretation of mechanic’s requests, use of computer system to locate, pick, bill out, and serve parts order. Pre-picking of parts for jobs in the shop. Ensure all parts that pass thru the counter are billed to the job.
– Assistance in inventory maintenance, moving, reporting, and organizing stock as business dictates. Occasionally will be required to pick up parts.
– Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
– Health & Safety Responsibilities; regular maintenance of MSDS.
– Monthly safety inspections of tools and follow-up on repairs as required.
– Maintain good housekeeping in the parts area.
– Cover off parts phones and other duties as required.
– Full-time, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
– General knowledge of semi-trailer and refrigeration parts.
– Must have completed at least a High School Diploma or equivalent degree.
– G-class driving license and good driving record.
– Certified Forklift Licence and Health & Safety trained.
– Strong ability in spoken and written English.
– Be able to interact and understand different accents and cultures.
– Must be able to extract parts information from a cross-reference of blueprints, books, diagrams, and Telnet style lists.
– Good computer skills, strong organizational and follow-up skills.
