Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Senior Director Product Market, the Product Manager Consulting Director is responsible support the Cyclone Municipal Outdoor channel, contribute to the definition and development of our Cyclone products which will encompass roadmap contribution and contribution to the product launches. The position will work closely with other product managers and stakeholders (marketing, business development, sales) within Acuity Brands to define and deliver world class products to market. Needs to have hands-on engagement and contribution to; customer validated business case and risk assessment of product offerings, including clarity of purpose, with tangible (financial) and intangible factors considered. Must aggressively drive sales promotion, strategy assessment and tactical execution to create a profitable growth within the assigned portfolio. This role creates and defines a differentiated advantage for the company in a sustainable manner that drives significantly interesting revenue and market share, as well as drives detail solutions through the organization.
Business trip This position requires travel across United States and Canada for 25% to 40%, not including meetings at the Terrebonne plant.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
• Organise with Cyclone departments the development and launch of the new products.
• Collaborate to the product roadmap by bringing back market opportunities to the New
Product team.
• Collaborate new to product initiatives from concept to approval to launch
• Manage the relationship with the numerous internal (product teams) and external (ecosystem partners) stakeholders.
• Work with a broader team (including marketing, manufacturing, customer care, HLP and Utility Sales Channel) to understand the local market and collaborate to execute our goals of profitable growth
• Involvement in IES and IDA associations
• Participate in conferences and shows relating to our customers.
• Resolve road blocs with technical request on the products.
• Own the EPA calculation process and software and support Sales Engineering team
• Be a decision maker on CP request, support SE in finding a solution.
• Organise customer and sales rep training visits at Cyclone
• Support Rep on visit to clients for large technical project
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
15+ years in product management, product marketing, and/or related roles
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering required,
Strong product acumen with an obsession over customer needs
Experience leading a cross-functional team with accountability for product delivery exemplary communication skills with demonstrable ability to identify stakeholders needs and influence decision making.
Bilingual French and English
