As part of our tight-knit team, you’ll play an integral role in helping to grow Acumen Bridge Consulting North America across several agency services and disciplines. Finding the sweet spot between technology, media, products and creativity.

What you’ll do:

Over the first 6 months, you will:

Represent Acumen Bridge Consulting North America as Business Development Manager, driving revenue across our marketing, creative, and product divisions.

• Build a considered and targeted plan to find, qualify, meet, pitch and close potential clients
• Segment and profile your leads based on agency fit and pain points
• Go hunt. You understand the power of activity and that early wins are key
• Leverage your relationship-building skills to build a robust and ongoing pipeline of leads, documenting all contact with a high level of detail in Hubspot
• Draw data from HubSpot to provide weekly reporting to key internal stakeholders

Collaborate closely with experienced team members to learn about Acumen Bridge Consulting and lean on their areas of expertise to secure client wins:

• We are one team. Once you’ve validated client needs and understood their pain points, know which Acumen Bridge Consulting leaders you need in the room for that first (and subsequent) meeting
• Setup meetings in a speedy manner; time kills all deals
• Provide concise meeting notes and create alignment within the organization, ensuring we have the highest chance of closing the leads.

Support D/Marketing, a strategic business unit with solid potential to increase inbound leads to Acumen Bridge Consulting, and get creative with other methods to broaden our reach:

• Review all inbound leads daily, qualifying them before beginning the engagement process
• Provide insights and recommendations to the relevant team members that will improve lead quality via D/Marketing
• Work with the broader team to support your sales efforts by utilizing the full marketing funnel

Ongoing:

• Be a master of stakeholder management and communication, regularly checking in as you execute your plan, providing an update to stakeholders, and changing your approach as often as needed.
• The digital space is constantly evolving, and so should your knowledge of our disciplines, including, but not limited to, search, social, content, performance, CRM, product design, development, QA, and brand/marketing design.
• This is a visible role. Bring your professional, courteous, and considerate manner to every client interaction.
• Collecting shared experience, feedback, and case studies creates a sharper conversation.
• Build upon your personal brand and voice through platforms such as LinkedIn and get recognized as a leader in the digital space.
• You have a test-and-learn mentality and constantly evolve your approach to improve response rates and effectiveness.
• Work collaboratively with all levels of staff across multiple regions. Opportunities and clients can be in various time zones; you are adaptable to these factors and are self-managed

Responsibilities

As the Business Development Manager, you will drive sales expansion by identifying and onboarding new clients while re-engaging with dormant accounts across British Columbia.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with existing strategic and critical environmental client accounts to uncover additional growth opportunities and revenue streams by understanding client project scopes and applying related analytical services.
• Own lead generation, deal negotiation and agreement closure in the B2B sales cycle, overseeing internal collaboration with Project Management and Lab Operations teams to ensure a successful client experience
• Gather and analyze market and industry intelligence, metrics, and trends to influence sales approaches and differentiate Element as an industry leader and testing partner.
• Flexibility to manage your day-to-day schedule to meet mandatory monthly client call and site visit requirements

Skills and Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of B2B Environmental sales experience in a professional environment, with monthly targets focused on new lead generation and sales pipeline development.
• Post-secondary education (degree) or a combination of relevant experience and supplementary professional development.
• Clear, confident, and proactive communication to elicit internal cooperation and gain client trust.
• Motivated and driven to learn about the Environmental and Food industries, technical lab knowledge and processes, and Element service offerings.
• Reliable transportation to meet and exceed mandatory monthly client site visits and the ability to travel overnight approximately 20% of the time.
• Asset Qualifications: In addition to the above, preference will be given to candidates with any industry (lab services, environmental / food testing) related experience and/or education.
