Site Superintendent – Civil Infrastructure Location: Ontario, Canada

Position Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of road reconstruction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and strategies in collaboration with the project management team.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of roadworks projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Supervise and lead on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to site staff to ensure project objectives are met.
Quality and Safety Compliance:
- Enforce and promote a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits to identify and address potential hazards.
- Monitor and enforce quality control procedures to meet or exceed project specifications.
Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain effective communication with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project status, resolve issues, and address concerns.
- Act as the primary point of contact on-site for all project-related matters.
Budget and Cost Management:
- Monitor project budgets and control costs through effective resource management and efficient utilization of materials and equipment.
- Identify potential cost-saving measures and implement strategies to optimize project financial performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience total, and 2 years of experience as an Assistant Site Superintendent, Site Supervisor or Site Superintendent within civil road reconstruction.
- Extensive knowledge of civil engineering principles, road construction techniques, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to promoting a safe work environment.
- Relevant certifications and licenses as required by provincial regulations.

Compensation: Base Salary + Bonus + Benefits + Vacation + Company Vehicle & Gas Card.
