Job Description: Clinical Coordinator – AdoptOntario Program
Position: Full time or 3 days per week Part Time opportunity with Benefits with SunLife, 1-Year Contract with annual renewal per Ministry Funding. Hybrid Position – Mainly remote with monthly/quarterly meetings and occasional in person events in Toronto.

Reporting to the AdoptOntario Program Manager, the Clinical Coordinator at the AdoptOntario Program supports the recruitment of potential adoptive families for children and youth who have adoption as their permanency plan. This role includes preparing profiles of children for adoption, responding to public inquiries about children and adoption, liaising with Children’s Aid Societies and adoption professionals, and supporting the AdoptOntario website and programs. This is a remote, work from home position that will require you to attend occasional in-person meetings within the organization and in the community. The ideal candidate should have a degree in social work or a related field, experience in child welfare, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to handle both administrative and clinical tasks. As well as the ability to work independently, the successful candidate will enjoy working with technology in a team setting while also working remotely. They can expect some travel within Ontario. Bilingualism in French and English is an asset, and occasional evening or weekend work will be required.
Responsibilities:
1. Preparing profiles for children available for adoption.
2. Responding to public and professional inquiries about adoption and specific children.
3. Documenting and maintaining accurate notes of contacts, projects and inquiries
4. Collaborating with Children’s Aid Societies and other adoption professionals.
5. Supporting the operations of the AdoptOntario website and its technical tools.
6. Assist in evaluating and updating the AdoptOntario program as it evolves.
These responsibilities require a balance of clinical insight, administrative skills, a good comfort and understanding of IT and effective communication, ensuring smooth coordination within the adoption matching process.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
· A degree in social work or a related field. Eligible for registration with OCSWSSW
· Experience in child welfare.
· A good understanding of child development, the impact of ACES on child development and on attachment behavior
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills. This position requires a great deal of telephone and video conferencing communication.
· Capability in handling both administrative and clinical tasks.
· Strong organizational skills, this position request event coordination
· Willingness to learn about adoption processes and legislation and the technical aspects of our web-based programs.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Willingness to travel within Ontario and willingness to work flexibly, with some evening and weekend work.
· Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.
