We are a new family health organization, located in London. We currently have an opening for an individual who has a positive and professional attitude to come work as a receptionist and medical office administrator within our team.
We are looking for a driven receptionist who has a burning desire to serve people, has a passion to help people better their lives, and is extremely people-oriented. You also have a high-energy personality who loves to work in a busy, fast-paced environment. You are a team player, communicative, detailed-oriented, thorough, able to multi-task effectively, motivated to excel, and above all, a positive human being.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable with patients of all ages. Solid customer service experience is required, and experience working in the medical office would be beneficial. EMR experience (electronic medical records, preferably Telus PS Suite) would definitely be an asset.
Greet patients and process registrations, ensuring high caliber care.
Process payments, private and OHIP insurance claims, financing, etc.
Handle electronic medical records software to accomplish clinic work.
Manage high volume of incoming and outgoing calls, faxes, and emails.
Schedule and manage patient appointments, and update them frequently.
Maintain a clean, accurate, and organized front desk and filing system.
Prepare, file, and maintain patient charts for the clinic’s doctors.
Assist patients where needed, such as with minor tasks or preparation.
Provide sales assistance.
Attend and participate at team meetings and training events.
Help the team in keeping facilities tidy, organized, and clean.
Understand and ensure patient confidentiality and discretion.
Competencies:
Diploma or undergraduate degree preferred
Strong customer service experience essential
Intermediate computer skills very important
Ability to work independently and within a team
Ability to multi-task and work in a busy environment
Ability to solve problems and manage time well
Personable with strong communication skills
Organizational skills and attention to detail critical
Familiarity with medical industry and health services
Requirements:
Must project a positive image at all times being the first point of contact for patients.
Must be able to handle difficult or stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner.
Must be able to handle work volume fluctuations with some occasional overtime.
