Job Summary

There’s a lot to this opportunity and we’re looking for someone to be proactive, delivery oriented, highly collaborative, and globally connected. You’ll work closely with business leaders and the HR Business Partner team to develop and engage our most important asset – our people.

We are looking for an experienced talent professional who will demonstrate business acumen and innovative thinking for the Canada region, our global Corporate team, and our Construction Management organization, with a goal of building high performing and highly engaged employees; encouraging an inclusive, learning culture; and contributing to driving a positive and diverse workplace.

The role is a blend of global and local. As a global business with a Think and Act Globally strategy, you will help develop global talent solutions and then implement them into the business. You will be a consultant and thought partner for the HR business leaders and local leadership teams and will deliver core talent management activities that are programmatic, like performance management and succession planning; as well as targeted solutions as needed at different levels of the organization.

Core Job Duties

• Partner with the wider HR community at regional and global levels to plan, integrate and drive global/regional Talent Management (TM) initiatives in the local context
• Closely partner with the global Talent Management CoE to ensure alignment with global programs and activities
• Connect with HR Partners and leadership teams to understand the business needs and to cascade timely updates of on-going talent initiatives; effectively consult and advise as a functional expert on Talent Management related initiatives
• Identify challenges and opportunities to improve employee engagement, development, retention, performance and career management in view of meeting the changing business needs and strategy of the organization
• Utilize existing global programs and resources and provide a holistic view to the business of all the tools available that facilitate the growth and career development of employees
• Actively participate in global Talent Management projects and product development, with other talent leads across the business, bringing the viewpoint of Canada, Corporate and Construction Management populations to that work
• Where needed, facilitate the delivery of global talent programs to the Canada, Corporate and Construction Management populations
• In partnership with HRBPs, lead the implementation of our core TM processes, following the global timeline e.g., Performance Management, Talent Reviews, Succession Planning etc.
• Proactively manage the talent pipeline at all levels – ensure High Potential talent and successors are actively tracked, their progression is managed, and they have career development plans in place
• Partner closely with the HR team to identify and deliver thoughtful organization effectiveness interventions as needed, for example: supporting organization design, manager and leader development, new leader integrations and assimilations, team development, 180 and 360 feedback assessments and executive coaching, etc.
• Maintain knowledge of new methods, practices and technologies for talent management applicable to the organization and/or industry

Minimum Requirements

• Ideally a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a HR related field including the Social Sciences
• Ideally minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the field of Talent Management, L&D or other related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in French is preferred
• Experience of developing and implementing people focused initiatives/talent strategies across a matrixed organization
• Excellent networking, partnership, and stakeholder management skills – able to build highly effective relationships with others across the global HR community to ensure global alignment and avoid operating in silos
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experienced, inclusive facilitator: in both virtual and face to face situations, with small and large groups for training, calibration, succession planning, complex discussions, process improvement, etc.
• Highly organized – strong project management, delivery and organizational skills
• Innovative and creative in designing thoughtful solutions to business challenges
• Excellent content development skills – able to build highly engaging and compelling resources for employees (using Microsoft Office package)
• Work under limited supervision in several aspects of the work
• Ideally experience with Workday
