Seeking Production Lead Hands
My client in the Brantford area is seeking Full time production lead hands to join their growing team!
Job Description:
The Production Lead Hand is responsible to assist with line operation and cover for key positions during absences and vacations. These positions include machine operators, lead hands, scalers, and shippers.
Job Duties:
Assist with production line set-up by retrieving packaging materials, assembling guarding, loading materials, and selecting machine programs.
Assist with coordinating, delegating, and overseeing work of department employees.
Complete quality checks, verification of lot and item numbers, and recording production material in ERP system.
Perform Production Operator job duties and assist team members in meeting product requirements.
Conduct new hire training and check-in with new employees when required.
Conduct line changeovers including equipment set-up, program selection, and loading materials.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete any minor adjustments. Contact maintenance if unable to resolve.
Inspect finished product, verify date codes and seals, and complete required production and quality paperwork.
Assist with housekeeping, garbage, and rework.
Properly lockout and restart equipment according to safety procedures.
Perform Machine Operator, Scaler, Lead Hand and Shipper duties in the event of their absence.
Responsible for maintaining food safety standards in work responsibilities and report food safety issues to QA immediately.
Work in a safe manner in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act by reporting all hazards, accidents, incidents or near misses to the Supervisor.
Follow all prescribed SOPs, rotation schedules, HACCP and GMP procedures

Monday to Friday (5:45am – 2:15pm)
Pay Rate:
$22.95/hour
Once candidate is fully trained and covering as a Lead Hand- a raise will be given
