Aerotek Looking for Heavy Duty Mechanic at British Columbia Full Time

Hiring: Heavy Duty Mechanic (field role)

Location: Burnaby

Shift: 8am-4pm

Description:

Our client sells, rents, services and repairs new and used Sewer Equipment, Street Sweepers, Zamboni’s, Garbage Collection Vehicles, and Street Flushers.

They are currently seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their service & repair team in Burnaby.

They be will doing maintenance and repairs on large service truck modules, vacuum and airflow systems, water systems, & hydraulic systems.

The mechanic will be taking work under specific orders and time frames.

This is a field/service role.

MUST HAVES

1) Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic OR Red Seal Commercial Transport Mechanic (open to 3rd or 4th year depending on their exposure to the scope of work)

2) 2+ years experience troubleshooting electrical components

3) Possess their own tools

4) Must be able to read and write English (to document work and use computer)

5) Read electrical and hydraulic schematics

-Class 3 with Air

-Knowledge on AC/DC converters

-Some welding (MIG steel or aluminum) for attachments/repairs
