We need a hungry Junior Developer or Paid Intern Developer to join our growing busy web team. You’ll report to our Lead Developer on task and projects. Open to Toronto or Vancouver candidates.
MUST HAVES:
- Experience or education in web development and have complete knowledge of WordPress CMS (Maintaining, updating, and knowledge of common plugins)
- A strong eye for frontend development, attention to visual detail, and interactivity experience
- Experience with Elementor Pro (page builder)
- Strong working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Javascript/JQuery, and PHP.
- Basic knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2) and best practices for image/code optimization
- Experience developing or customising WordPress themes (custom post types, ACF and page builders)
- Server management experience with tools and processes such as cPanel, PHPMyAdmin, DNS
- Ability to take direction from a lead developer as well as work independently
- A hunger for new tech, new platforms, and new experiential trends
- A positive and collaborative attitude (not a jerk).
Blink is looking to grow our development team with a new Junior Develop. This is a growth opportunity position open to candidates in Vancouver or Toronto. Vancouver candidates will work in our hybrid 3 day in office, 2-day remote model. Recent graduates, interns and developers with 1-2 years’ experience are welcome to join. You will report to our lead developer and balance your days between developing websites, squashing bugs, keeping bug ticket statuses up to date, completing daily site maintenance, assigning with staging and email set ups and learning every single day.
BROWNIE POINTS:
- Experience working with creative and client service teams on projects
- Experience with Information Architecture flows (IAs)
- Experience with Shopify, WooCommerce
- QA and Testing Experience or experience with QA testing tools and 3rd party vendors
- Experience reading and or co-writing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
- Motion Graphics with animation software or code
- Experience working with assets from Figma or Adobe XD
