Agilus is recruiting for a Accountant in the Energy Sector in Calgary, Alberta.
The Accountant will provide bookkeeping and financial accounting services to a group of companies.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts settlements with customers, payments through online banking systems to suppliers.
- Preparation of monthly IFRS financial statements.
- Working with external tax advisors on GST/corporate tax returns.
- Assisting the VP Finance with annual audit of the asset manager and the holding company.
- Correspondence with banks, government entities, and other external parties.
- Data entry and filing of documents.
- Additional accounting related assignments as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience of Corporate accounting experience.
- Background in accounting and accounting designation.
- Business fluent Russian or Ukrainian proficiency.
- Working knowledge of Sage Accounting software.
- Ability to provide guidance on IFRS reporting.
- Will need to clear a background check.
- Excellent MS Office skills and English language proficiency.
