Agrocrop Exports Ltd. Looking for Supply Chain Logistics Manager at Bolton, Ontario, Canada Full Time

PRIMARY FOCUS

This role’s core focus is managing all aspects of the logistics management function to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to the destination. Implements an overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations. Oversees critical and related inventory, distribution, and transportation operations that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI’s for product delivery and customer satisfaction. Selects vendors, negotiates rates and service levels and monitors performance. Ensures compliance with all regulations governing the transportation of goods. Utilizes analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems in operations, and achieve high performance at optimal cost.

THE ROLE:

• Logistics Management: Lead efforts to ensure the movement of goods and services are performed effectively and to reach customers on time. Works to help reduce the time and money spent transferring goods from one location to another.
• Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies encompassing procurement, logistics, and distribution. Identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost savings.
• Customer Planning: Coordinate and work with suppliers, manufacturers, and retailers to negotiate contracts. Additionally, organize the management and storage of goods. Monitor production progress and make real-time adjustments to meet customer needs.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks, and transportation issues. Implement contingency plans to maintain business continuity.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align supply chain plans with business goals. Foster effective communication between sales, finance, and operations to optimize resource utilization.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data-driven insights to track KPIs related to supply chain logistics operations. Generate regular reports to inform decision-making and support continuous improvement.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance customer service timelines with accuracy and streamline processes. Actively seek out opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.

EMPLOYEE COLLABORATION:

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• 7 – 10 years’ proven working experience in logistics/supply chain
• Experience managing and improving supply chain data, information, and processes
• Experience with the use of ERP systems
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience required
• Manufacturing experience is an asset
• Think critically to support the overall AEL strategy
• Ability to think objectively and weigh different options to dive deep where needed on relevant issues and to reach mutually acceptable solutions to complex problems which arise
