AGS Automotive Systems Looking for Corporate Treasury Accountant at North York, Ontario, Canada Full Time

AGS is looking for a Treasury Accountant to join our dynamic organization.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Treasury Accountant is responsible for providing the financial leadership support to the organization including but not limited to:

Treasury

• Managing timely disbursement of funds and cash activity in accordance with established controls
• Preparation of all required Bank and Company related treasury reporting within department-stated timelines

Financial Accounting

• Assisting in the preparation of the Company’s monthly Financial Statements, reported in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Ensuring the overall integrity of the financial data, processes, and business controls for the organization
• Continuously improving the treasury and financial reporting processes
• Participating, supporting, and driving corporate wide treasury and financial priorities & initiatives

Duties & Responsibilities

Treasury

• Maintain and improve the cashflow forecasting model
• Accurately maintain and reconcile the cashflow model daily
• Report on material weekly cashflow variances and present to the Corporate Controller weekly
• Provide expertise and support for testing and implementing systems and/or process changes to increase efficiencies
• Prepare the monthly Bank BBC (Borrowing Base Certificate) Reporting
• Assist in creating and maintaining Treasury related dashboards and analysis
• Actively manage the Positive Pay process
• Manage AR insurance monthly reporting
• Develop, support & monitor business control requirements, including taking the lead on external bank audits
• Lead on continuous improvement projects as assigned

Financial Accounting

• Preparation of monthly lead schedules and account reconciliations
• Prepare and process corporate journal entries as required
• Ensure confidentiality of all financial and proprietary information
• Financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders as needed
• Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of all intercompany accounts
• Prepare monthly HST analysis and filings
• Assist in the analysis of financial results, including highlighting accounting, financial and operational issues
• Special projects as assigned

Education, Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
• CPA enrolment is an asset
• 5 years + related experience
• Experience with cross functional teams
• Manufacturing experience is an asset
• Experience in business controls and process improvements
• Proven analytical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Solid organizational /time management skills
• Knowledgeable in MRP (QAD experience is an asset), Microsoft Office
• Strong Excel skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Daily reporting to the Corporate office (subject to any remote work policies)
• Regular zoom meetings with AGS facilities/materials/accountants/sales
• Currently, no travel required
