Aide Sense Looking for Personal Caregiver needed at Toronto, ON Full Time

Caregiver Job Responsibilities:

• Assists clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation.

• Allows and encourages clients to do as much of their own care as possible.

• Serves meals to clients and may assist in preparing meals following preplanned menus.

• Encourages client to eat a proper meal and take adequate fluids while respecting the client’s right to free choice and records and reports changes in client eating habits to the family.

• participates in leisure activities asked by clients.

• Maintains clients records daily in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy and procedures; documents, leisure activities, incidents, and observations; reports any changes in client’s physical condition and/or behaviour, and visitors; observes and reports the health and emotional condition of each client, and promptly report all changes to the family and supervisor.

• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for the clients; performs general housekeeping

Hours may fluctuate, so we will require maximum flexibility throughout the week. This includes all days of the week including holidays.

Caregiver Requirements:

• Vulnerable Sector Screening certification from the Toronto police

• At least, one year’s experience working with people with disabilities and the elderly.

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Basic computer skills including MS Word

• Two does of the vaccine (an additional booster shot is preferred)

• Background checks with previous employers, references, law enforcement agencies, and others will be conducted

WAGE: starting at $15 per hour depending on experience

Part-time hours: 10-35 per week

Salary: From $15.00 per hour
