Job Description


Permanent, full-time position


Monday to Friday work schedule


Working from home (training will be done at the Burlington, Ontario office)

Reporting to the Business Development Director, the Purchasing Support Coordinator is responsible for developing the used car purchasing facet of the Kenny U-Pull market by developing strong relationships with suppliers and constantly searching for new clients. This person will work closely with the Ontario buying and logistics team, team and strive to surpass purchasing objectives. More specifically, the role entails:

  • Soliciting clients over the internet and develop his/her own client base (Kijiji, Facebook Marketplace, etc.);
  • Building solid relationships within the automobile and recycling industry;
  • Buying from auctions;
  • Following up on client leads by telephone and email, and through social media;
  • Negotiating purchasing terms;
  • Participating in taking inbound calls in support for our call center (when volume is high);
  • Maintaining consistant communication with other departments.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of sales experience;
  • At least 2 years of experience in business development;
  • Prospecting experience;
  • Internet buying experience;
  • Can manage multi-platform activities;
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
  • Good with numbers and mental calculations;
  • Proficient in Outlook and Excel.
