Position Overview:

We are seeking a visionary Controller whose primary objective is to propel our business to new heights by introducing innovative ideas and identifying strategic growth opportunities. In this role, you will oversee all financial activities of the company, supporting both our Calgary and Toronto locations (H.T. Pneumatic Rebuilders Inc.). The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, exceptional leadership qualities, and a proven track record of driving business performance through creative financial strategies and business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities to identify opportunities for business expansion and revenue enhancement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate market trends, assess competitive landscapes, and capitalize on emerging business opportunities.
• Develop and implement financial models, investment strategies, and performance metrics to drive informed decision-making and maximize shareholder value.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial forecasting efforts to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and industry experts to stay abreast of market developments and identify potential areas for collaboration and growth.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience within the tool industry supporting accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Strong proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of leading teams, driving results, and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
