Production Accounting Analyst
The Opportunity
A key member of the Production Data Services team supporting core processes around the collection, management, and dissemination of volumetric and infrastructure information. This role provides technical expertise and support both internally and externally on issues related to volumetric and infrastructure reporting, and is instrumental in carrying out regular monthly activities to meet team deliverables, ensure complete and accurate volumetric and infrastructure data integrity, and confirm compliance with AER requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities:

Respond quickly and efficiently to Production Accounting Help Line inquiries pertaining to volumetric reporting and Petrinex and escalate complex issues to senior Production Accounting Analysts as appropriate.

Manage instances of volumetric reporting non-compliance, including issuing invoices and credit memos, and corresponding with appropriate internal AER stakeholders and external clients.

Assist with business process changes within the team and across other teams as appropriate.

Test Petrinex system and data changes, document requirements, and support implementation of the requirements.

Testing systems functionality to ensure AER business rules and security requirements are being met.

Assist in the review, analysis and interpretation of data compiled from Petrinex as well as the Oil and Gas industry.
Qualifications:
-
Related diploma in a business field and a CAPPA Certificate.

Five years of progressive-related experience.

Experience using Petrinex, with knowledge of AER Directives and Regulations as they pertain to production data.

Strong attention to detail.
-
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships within an organization, as well as with external stakeholders.

Good verbal and written communication skills for sharing business requirements, functional requirements, operational ideas, and technical knowledge.

Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and deliver results within the required time constraints.

Effective collaborator and team player.
