This opportunity is a full time position within HR Business Partnerships supporting the North Zone, allowing you a chance to explore an HR Advisor role within Northern Alberta. As a HR Advisor, HR Business Partnerships – North Zone you will be responsible for providing human resources advice and support to AHS management staff and employees, within an assigned geographical area. You will support clients by coordinating, advising and educating on a variety of functions including human resources strategic planning; organizational design and development; performance management; employee and labour relations; collective agreement and employment policy interpretation; grievance management; compensation and job evaluation; recruitment and selection; workforce planning and capacity initiatives; ability management; and employee health and wellness. You will interpret client needs, assess requirements and identify solutions to non-standard issues and requests including engagement of HR specialists as required. As much of this work is performed independently, an important aspect is fostering and maintaining positive and collaborative relationships with AHS managers, HR networks and service centres, and Union representatives.

Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a related post-secondary degree in human resources, business administration or related area. A minimum of 2 years experience in a human resources role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
Human Resources experience in healthcare/unionized environment is considered an asset.
