Description:
As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years broad based rural nursing experience with well-developed nursing skills in the areas of Emergency, Acute Care, and Long Term Care/ Homecare. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. Teaching experience. Strong computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Certification in ACLS, TNCC, and CTAS is required. This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle is good repair for work related travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience is preferred with an adult focus in a health care setting.
