The Program Director, Human Resources Business Partnerships (HRBP) is a key leadership role in the HRBP portfolio and reports directly to the Senior Program Officer, HRBP. This position is accountable for developing HR strategy and coordinating the delivery of integrated HR services in support of large and complex AHS strategic priorities and initiatives. The Program Director will work in collaboration with the HRBP leadership team to deliver on provincial initiatives in a consistent fashion with the aim of coordinating resources both within HRBP and with the HR Centres of Expertise (CoE’s) to ensure a seamless, consistent and solutions focused service to our clients. The Program Director will ensure local needs are identified and accounted for in any provincial initiative through collaboration with HRBP Directors and other key stakeholders during the planning and implementation stages. In conjunction with our CoE partners and key stakeholders, the Program Director will develop workforce strategies in support of AHS strategic and operational priorities; provide leadership and direction to various HR working groups supporting large AHS initiatives and will have direct HR reports as assigned (e.g. Essential Services).
Required Qualifications:
A minimum baccalaureate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related area. 10 years of human resources experience in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. At least 3 years’ experience in a HR leadership role. Demonstrated Project Management experience. Experience in a unionized environment.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated critical thinking skills, with ability to apply a broad lens on service issues that impact all clients in AHS and other stakeholders (e.g. unions). Demonstrated ability to effectively create and lead a team and multidisciplinary working groups designed to develop or implement an integrated HR strategy. Project management experience working with complex initiatives. Results-oriented focus, with ability to identify and deliver unique solutions and strategies aligned with organizational needs. Ability to establish credibility and influence, with ability to navigate complex situations with appropriate outcomes. Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills. Demonstrated Collaboration and Communication (written and oral) skills, with ability to produce high quality reports and recommendations. Effective group facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
HealthCare or other public sector experience is an asset. CPHR or equivalent designation from another jurisdiction. Experience leading large change initiatives and applying sound change management methodology and practice, preferred. Equivalent combination of education and related experience will be considered.
