Description:
Reporting to the Biostatistician/Research Lead, this position is responsible for: Supporting the preparation of analysis plans or protocols based on research questions and a thorough understanding of ATP data structure. Support data management, and data cleaning. Perform a range of statistical analysis including building advanced statistical models. Interpret the results and prepare tables and figures for presentations and publications. Support knowledge translation by drafting scientific manuscripts, strategic reports, visuals and presentations. Assist with the design of research studies, methodology, and data collection protocols and tools (including literature reviews and environmental scans). Perform data access application reviews (e.g. research proposal, and draft manuscript review). Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including ATP team members, researchers, and knowledge users.

Required Qualifications:
At minimum, completion of a Master’s degree in Biostatistics or MPH in applied biostatistics. At minimum, 2-3 years of experience with health data and statistical analysis in a research environment. Solid statistical knowledge and experience using statistical software packages (such as SAS, R, or Stata); programming languages an asset. Organized, resourceful and self-starting with meticulous attention to detail. Comfortable in communicating with the research community. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work in a team setting. Able to handle multiple and competing priorities. Proficiency in Adobe Pro and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:
Cancer research experience considered an asset. Knowledge translation and project evaluation experience. Project coordination experience. Data visualization experience (e.g. Tableau, Piktochart).
