Reporting to the Program Manager – Respectful Workplaces, the Senior Advisor, is an experienced professional that provides expert advice, consultation, and solutions in support of respectful workplaces and conflict resolution. The Senior Advisor will support service requests from the organization in regards to building strong worker-to-worker relationships, respectful workplaces and conflict resolution and provide leadership and expertise in the development and implementation of associated resources and supports.
The Senior Advisor functions with a high degree of independence and works very collaboratively and develops strong working relationships within the larger Employee Relations team, and with HR Business Partnerships, other departments, and various stakeholders across the organization. This is achieved through effective communication, ethical decision-making, and commitment to achieving established goals and objectives. Key accountabilities of this role include providing client consultation and conflict resolution services, and developing and delivering educational materials, resources and programs related to Respectful Workplaces and conflict resolution. Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a baccalaureate degree in Human Resources or a related area is required and/or related education in conflict resolution, coaching or facilitation. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior Human Resources or equivalent role with progressively responsible accountabilities in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. You should demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development. Successful leadership experience in group facilitation and consultation, project management, and implementation of deliverables. Proven abilities in complex problem-solving, concerns resolution, decision-making and the identification of effective solutions within established policies, processes and guidelines. Experience in initiating and fostering positive relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, and client-focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Ability to relay or explain complex issues and difficult situations. Experience and expertise in the development and facilitation of educational materials. Expert skills in coaching and conflict resolution are required.

CHRP, Q. Med, Chartered Mediator or related designation preferred. Mediation experience is preferred. Healthcare experience is an asset.
