The e-People Training and Change Management team is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and delivery of our HCM (PeopleSoft) training material, courses (both e-Learning and Instructor-led) and communications. We provide training and documentation for all AHS timekeeping and time approval staff, manager and employee self-service as well as our HR Shared Services Production Centre and HR Contact Centre teams. Our team is also responsible for the development and maintenance of the HR Provincial Template (a.k.a. process maps), knowledge articles for our HR Contact Centre and provides support in the development of HR Forms related to PeopleSoft. The team is very involved in supporting organizational change management for our PeopleSoft process improvements and projects including system upgrades. Our Mission: To deliver high-quality and sustainable Training and Change Management services that support the knowledge, skills and abilities of our partners and clients.
This position will function as a Training Specialist with a primary responsibility to develop and support training and documentation needs for our partners in the HR Contact Centre and in the broader HR team. This position will be actively involved in developing and facilitating training courses and materials primarily related to HR systems and processes for new hires coming into the HR Contact Centre, including Manager Services, and for new HR Business Partners who use HR systems. The position may also be required to develop and facilitate other ad hoc and refresher training as needed.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of one to three years’ experience in Human Resources, Training, Adult Education; ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. A minimum of three years’ experience with instructional design models (such as the ADDIE model) used to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate training programs and materials. Ability to transpose complex information into easily understood terms that supports various learning styles. Experience with curriculum and course development for both in-person and eLearning delivery. Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective training in both virtual and in-class settings. Solid understanding of adult learning principles and ability to adapt training and facilitation style to a varied audience. Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Ability to learn, retain and deliver a broad scope of HR system and procedure information. Previous experience in a PeopleSoft or other Human Capital Management (HCM) system. Strong attention to detail focusing on being consistent, thorough, and accurate. Professional writing skills and ability to produce high quality training and resource materials. Ability to develop, maintain and manage collaborative working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues. Ability to maintain an elevated level of confidentiality. Experience with eLearning development and tools is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of three years’ experience in training course development and delivery. Instructional Design and course development experience, particularly related to technical systems and processes. Understanding and knowledge of Collective Agreements. Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, including MS PowerPoint, MS Teams and MS Word. Please note this position will work remotely initially but may be required to work in the office in the future.
