Your Opportunity:
As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and family’s while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient record sand charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing arange of administrative activities in support of the unit.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Prioritization, organization and time management skills are required. Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are required. Ability to function effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team required. The incumbent can expect to work with many competing priorities, often within restrictive timelines. This position services the Neurosciences Program. The candidate must be flexible to transition between ICU and Ward settings. Connect Care training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced computer skills in Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, e-People is preferred.
