This position has been identified to transfer to DynaLIFE in May of 2023. The successful applicant will receive further information about the position’s transfer to DynaLIFE. The successful candidate will be able to screen non-gynecological slides providing a differential diagnosis with a high degree of accuracy. As well the candidate will be able to perform adequacy checks for all required FNA samples at both the Royal Alexandra site and the University of Alberta Hospital site. The candidate may be required to perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshooting of various laboratory instruments and relate quality control activities. Occasionally other duties may be assigned as appropriate.
As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
