The Alberta Students’ Executive Council (ASEC) is a provincial advocacy organization
representing the interests of 90,000 students from 15 post-secondary institution students’ associations across Alberta. We are a place where students learn, lead, and work together to advocate for the best interests of post-secondary students across our province. This role with ASEC is fabulous for an early career individual seeking diverse professional experiences and the opportunity to learn many areas of nonprofit management in a member-serving advocacy organization.

Job Duties
The Administrative and Communications Coordinator is accountable for all administrative tasks within the ASEC office and communications as delegated by the Executive Director to whom they report directly. This role is the second full-time staff member at ASEC. Being a small organization, an enthusiasm to learn on the job to support arising tasks and having an ‘all hands on deck’ attitude in high-pressure times is essential.

Compensation
The successful candidate will be paid a salary of $45,000-$50,000 commensurate with experience and receive health and dental benefits after a three-month probationary period. Compensation is based on a 37.5 hour work week and three weeks paid vacation per year.
This position can be in office or hybrid with a minimum of three days in office/week.
