As they continue to grow the business, they are seeking the addition of an Infection Protection and Control Supervisor, reporting directly to the Director of Nursing. Playing a vital role within the organization, you will work to support the residents and the staff by sharing your education and knowledge of best practices on health and safety in regards to infection protection and control, engage in hosting vaccination clinics and N95 mask fittings, and foster a supportive team environment which is based on values of supportive hands on learning and growth. While maintaining a safe operation and adhering to safety procedures and regulations, you will be responsible for ensuring residents are being appropriately cared for, prioritizing their health and safety, and working with the nursing director to perform various audits and educational demonstrations. Experience with infection protection and control, outbreaks, vaccination clinics, and general education or mentorship in a nursing environment is an asset. They are seeking someone who is empathetic, invested, detail-oriented, collaborative, and reliable.
As the successful candidate, you will be communicative, and have a strength in maintaining best practices of health and safety while showcasing them to staff and residents in a positive and supportive manner. You will have a passion for nursing and the aptitude to follow instructions and guidelines in order to maintain and provide preventative infection and outbreak measures. Withholding an Epidemiology Certification for Infectious Disease is considered a very strong asset however the organization is willing to support your individual growth and learning in this niche area.
