Aston Carter’s client is looking for an AR Clerk to join their team. This is a government organization with lots of opportunities and Aston Carter has had multiple placements who have started on contract and gone on to fill permanent seats in the AR department. The position responsibilities involve high volume, de-escalation, and putting clients on payment plans. Soft collections experience is or working in customer service situations is preferred.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of accounts receivable duties
- Processes invoices and related payments by performing tasks such as entering invoices and payments in batches, verifying batch totals with source documents, comparing payments received to the invoices recorded, identifies discrepancies and following up with patients or billing agencies
- Processes reciprocal billings and remittances.
- Select accounts for collection; establish payment arrangements and recommend write-offs
- Prepares routine journal entries from a variety of source documents
- Pull invoice request emails from a shared cue and enter information into system to generate invoices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVES:
- 1+ years AR experience
- Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
- Excel skills
- Accounting/finance education – at least a diploma
- Strong data entry skills – will need to complete testing and score above 85%
- Typing test with results above 45 WPM
- Willingness to work on site 100% – site is COVID compliant
